HISTORY

From the humble origins of a works side (Laidlaw Drew) the club has evolved and developed into one of the leading clubs in Edinburgh and have played for several years now in the Scottish National Cricket League.

Formed in 1957 we played our home matches at Union Park in Corstorphine until 2003, when we moved to the ground of the Royal High School in Barnton.

The club was originally known as 'Elldee Cricket Club' and played their matches at Sighthill under this banner until 1974.

In that year Carricknowe & Corstorphine CC who played at Union Park went defunct and the 'Elldee' team acquired a new ground and renamed themselves for the 1975 season as Corstorphine Cricket Club.

The Club continued to play here until a recent merger of the Royal High and Corstorphine Rugby Clubs saw the club make a further change and a move to Barnton.

We have now joined with the Royal High Sports Club, to become Royal High Corstorphine, or RHC.

In 2008 we will be running three teams.

The first eleven will be playing their 6th straight season of National League cricket, in Premier Division 2.

The 'twos' will be playing in Division 3 of the East of Scotland League, having narrowly missed out on promotion last year.

Our 3rd XI - which is a careful balance of experienced old players, enthusiastic youngsters and the odd ringer - was reborn in 2006

Having had 2 years of consolidating themselves in East League Division 8 they will be in the dog fight for promotion to Div 7.

The club is on the up. Our 51st year promises many things. Hopefully it will bring success to all 3 sides!
